We loved the four days we spent in Kuala Lumpur at the beginning of this trip, and we were excited to spend another 4 days in this city in one of our favourite hotels.
The best thing about returning somewhere you’ve already been is that there is less pressure to do anything. So we planned to do pretty much nothing! I barely left the hotel/shopping mall! It was a great four days, doing not much and enjoying our time together.

What did we do?
We mostly played in our room and hung out at the pool! I did kind of stop enjoying the pool after I realised every time I went there, I cleared out all the Muslim people in our vicinity :-/ The kids still loved it though.
Shopping
I had a massive shopping day downstairs at Berjaya. I’m not a shopper, so I was very proud of myself!!
It was mostly funded by my in laws who had very generously given me a big wad of cash for my birthday the week before we left. Thank you! I topped it off with a one hour massage. What a hard life I live 🙂 I also bought some nice clothes for the kids.
J also made it to the Mid Valley Mall in his quest for levi jeans. He said it is a very large, mid range mall and where to go for a very serious shopping trip. We also went to Suria in this quest (at the base of Petronas Towers). It is also a nice, upper mid range mall.
KLCC
After visiting Suria, we made it back to the massive playground at Kuala Lumpur City Center. Lots of fun for all four of us!!

Kuala Lumpur accommodation
We were very happy to be back at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel.
We had some dramas on check in. It was very annoying. Initially, they wanted to send us to the other tower, and I didn’t want to go as its a lot further to walk. So they found us another room… We arrived in the room and it’s just a hotel room – not the one bedroom suite we have booked! Grrr! I complain, and they fixed it within ten minutes, but it was very annoying.
We were happy to be in our new room. It was great!! Kitchenette room, a big two room bathroom, living and dining area and bedroom. We were very happy! Happier than last time when we were also “upgraded”. That room was a “premier” superior suite, rather than a superior suite. It was nicer and bigger, but didn’t have separate living area and had no dining area or kitchenette, so I really don’t know why anyone would pay more money for it.
Practical Information
This time, we paid about $120 a night for our room at Berjaya Times Square Hotel. The first time it was only about $90.
